help I deleted my old work email from my phone and I have lost all my phone contacts too

Please can someone help me? I was trying to organise my phone, I deleted my old work email account but I have lost all of my phone contacts too. I must have always saved every contact to that email account :-( Is there anyway I can retreive them? Any help would be really appreciated!
