also for this

I am new to the iMac and was wondering is there anyway to add the widgets from mission control to desktop? If so please send me the step by step directions.

I would like the weather and some others on my desktop not in mission control and cannot understand why this is a program I hate to go back and forth I would rather have them on my desktop for quick use such as weather as we are getting a lot of snow here in northeast again.

I am using Yosemite 10.10.2(14c109)

Thank you for all your help.

Yahoo you said was your home page. You should still have Google as your search engine.

If you want to change your home page (or start up page) to Google do this.

Go to Google.com

https://www.google.com/

Once there, go into your Safari Preferences go to General and set your Home Page to be the Current Page

And then set New Windows to Open with Home Page

You don't need a separate Google search toolbar as long as you changed your default search engine.

Safari 6 (on)

Smart Search Field. Safari now has one field for typing both searches and web addresses.

So....that means when you have a new window open, you just type what you are looking for

Please review the options below to determine which method is best to remove the Adware installed on your computer.

The Easy, safe, effective method:

If you are comfortable doing manual file removals use the somewhat more difficult method:

Or use your

Preview or

Grab (located in your Utilities folder)

Grab has a time feature so you can delay and get an exact action within a window.

From Apple

  • In Mac OS X v10.6 and later, the screenshots are saved as PNG files on the desktop. They're automatically named "Screen shot (date and time).png." You can open these screenshots with Preview or other image editing apps.
  • You can also take screenshots using the Grab app.
