My brand new iPhone 6 will not activate. I start the process, verify location and language and then connect to wifi and it doesn't allow me to continue on due to the "activation server being temporarily unavailable." When will the activation server be available? ETA?

Where did you purchase the iPhone and in which country are you trying to activate
I bought it yesterday at Sam's Club and I'm trying to activate it in the US.
Then the message you are getting indicates the servers have detected an iPhone that has been JailBroken and or a Computer that has been used to Jail Break an iPhone .
If you still getting the message then whilst it is not unknown for servers to be down it is very rare and there may be the issue I describe above
I had a similar problem with a new iphone 6, 2 weeks ago and it turned out to be a bad sim card, once replaced the phone has been fine.
I called Apple and we had to completely reset the phone to factory settings. After that it set up just fine. Thank you for the replies!
