Microsoft Word app update not loading on iPhone

I have been trying to update MS Word on my iPhone for the past 2 weeks to no avail. The app icon shows "Loading" with about 3/4 of the "circle" filled in but does not go beyond that. Anyone else having this problem?? Any solutions? [Note: I've tried rebooting the phone, reinstalling via iTunes, and other things... none of them work.]
