how can I see my personal mail folders (set up on my MacAir) on my iPad?
MacBook Air, iOS 7.0.4, iPoD will not Sync to my new MAC

You can't. The personal Mail folders that you set up on the Mac in the mail app are for local organization only on the Mac. Those folders will not sync to the iPad and cannot be viewed on the iPad.
