filing system: events, projects, backups

As far as I know Final Cut Pro X should create two new folders within the foulder films: Final Cut Events und Final Cut Projects.

I can‘t find these folders. Instead there is a folder Final Cut Backups with hundreds of files and more than 800 GB data. Each new file is bigger than the previous one. They seem to copy their predecessors and add new material.

I am afraid that‘s not the way it should be ...

How can I restore a proper filing system ?User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

YYou are referring to obsolete versions of FCP. That said these folders don't look correct. It looks as if you have been going into the backup libraries and opening them to continue to work in them. This is not how they should be used. You should always work in your primary library unless there is a need to revert to an earlier version.
