Quicktime Crashes When Movie Recording

Yesterday I was trying out the Movie Recording feature which lets you record your iDevice screen, and it worked fine. I launch up Quicktime again today only to find it an error message saying "Operation could not be completed" whenever I attempt to create a Movie Recording. I've tried plugging and unplugging my iPhone and searched for hours on how to fix this with no results.
