Some how, the wrong Apple ID got into my system, don't know how to correct the problem

I am not sure about resetting, would it not erase all my other setting??
No one else has used my unit, this was already in there the first time I used it, thought I could use the same as on mu 'puter

nope, resetting did not cure the prop.
No, this was a new unit, however my wife did try to st up part of it, but denies putting in the wron address, so now what?
so, how do you sign it out???
It sounds like she set up an Apple ID. Without signing out from it, you cannot use the device.
You will have to try to recover the password or contact Apple for help.
IF you still cannot recover it, contact Apple according to the instructions here.
