If I rented movies on Apple TV and have to buy a new one, can I access those rentals on a new Apple TV? My Apple TV won't connect to my Wifi so I'm thinking I just need to get a new one (it's a least 2 years old). I'm hoping I won't lose the money I spent on some rented movies through Apple TV.

@MegodynamiteYour Apple TV device and your purchases has no relationship. In other words, Apple TV as a device is not going to store any content. As long as you sign in using your itunes ID, you will see them without fail. Did you try restarting your Apple TV (completely unplug power and restart) to make sure that the WiFi connectivity works?
