ITunes 11.4 Sync with IOS 8

Hello,

I have a new iPod Touch on it's way to me, that I'm certain will have iOS 8 preinstalled on it. My Mac Mini (10.6.8) has iTunes 11.4 on it, and SW Update is telling me it's the most current version. When I looked around online in preparation for my iPod to arrive, I saw a ton of people had issues with local syncs of iOS 8 devices with iTunes 11.4. Most of the posts I saw seemed to be localized around Sept 2014.

I was wondering if this issue was resolved on the iOS side, and I can expect my iPod to sync without issue when it arrives, or if I should prepare for trouble?
