wont let me download trial! anyone know why?

i have a Mac os x version 10.6.8 and ive been trying to download the trial for final cut pro to see if this will work for my project but it just wont let me it keeps saying its not compatible

If there is some reason why you need to retain 10,6, consider creating a separate partition, on which you install 10.10 and from that alternative "start up disk" , download the trial.
