I've just updated to Yosemite and iCloud shows my Apple ID email as an Apple me address which I've not used in years. How do I get rid of this? I can see it listed as the primary email but can't change it.

Apple IDs that end in @me.com (or @mac.com or @icloud.com) may not be changed. See this article for reference -
