i can logged into my old apple id but i can't access my game center account

I've recently updated my iOS4 to iOS7 and i've lost everything. When i'm ask to enter an Apple ID i logged into my old account but unfortunately i’m being ask to create a new game center account. Is it possible to recover my old Game Center account so that all my games will not be put into waste?
