My new iPhone 6 won't sync to my itunes.

I wanted to add stuff to my iPhone 6 but iTunes doesn't show my phone. I tried to hit sync but the button isn't clickable but it doesn't register that my phone is plugged in. I tried authorizing and deauthorizing multiple times with no luck. Help!
