Can't boot into windows 8 (black screen)

Dear All

================================================================================

Background:

I am using a recent macbook pro 15" retina.

I have installed windows 8 via bootcamp.

I have installed parallel desktop and loaded the windows from bootcamp.

The combination has been working fine for few months now.

I can boot into wins 8 using both ways: bootcamp or parallel desktop.

Problem:

Until yesterday night, after using the windows in parallel desktop,

I rebooted my mbp, held down option key, selected to start windows 8.

After a "circle dot" loading screen, the screen remains black forever.

I could do nothing but manually turned off my mbp using the power button.

Significant behaviors:

While I can't start win8 using bootcamp,

I CAN STILL boot into win8 using parallel desktop in mac osx.

Uncertain factors:

I realized that i had my sdcard plugged in my mbp when using parallels (dun know if it 's related)

and i've removed it but it doesn't change anything.

Does anyone have any ideas or similar experience to share?

1. Do you have Automatic Windows Update turned on?

2. Parallels creates its own BIOS environment to boot a BC/WIndows partition. It indicates that the underlying BC/WIndows partition is intact.

3. Do you have any third-party NTFS software?

4. Were there any Software Upgrades/Updates applied on the OS X side? What is your Mac year/model?

5. Has there been any partitioning/resizing activity of either Windows or OS X by any tool?

6. Can you post the output of the following OS X Terminal Commands?

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

Please enter you password when prompted, it will not be echoed back to you. "sudo" may also warn you about improper use and data loss.
