Q: Why can't I download OS X Server (Spinning wheel)?

Morning Gurus,

So I've bought a mac-mini to set up as my companies new server, I'm about to set it up for partitioning so that I have a mirrored drive etc. But, unrelated I'm trying to purchase the OS X Server app from the app store, yet all I'm getting is a spinning wheel once I hit 'Buy'. The mac mini is connected via ethernet to a network switch with and internet seems to be working fine..

Any suggestions?

Rich.

Double doh! Sorted it - Mac Mini needed an update to the latest release of Yosemite!  - Thou a message from apple apps store saying this would have saved me a load of headache and coffee drinking!

    But happily sorted!

Not sure but i do know that after buying OSX Server as i was using OSX Mavericks, i cold download the app.

After Yosemite Updayte, my paid app is missing from the purchased list in appstore, and the new server app in appstore expects me to pay for it again!

it seems everybody who paid for osx server lost their app after Yosemite, and the updated version of Server (now called Server without the 'OSX' prefix) is being sold to us for a second time.

Apple have done this with a few apps already robbing the user of his paid app as soon as he updates to Yosemite

I would suggest that there is a big Apple issue overseen here, because i have a few friends who also bought osx server, and cannot download it anymore. Luckily i keep a version of it on a thumbdrive, if not Apple would have successfully stolen 20$ from me
