An error message ( see screen grab) keeps appearing whenever I start iPhoto even though I may not be importing photos or have a SD card connected. What is causing this and how can I rectify.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), iPhoto 9.6
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Auto Import' and remove the contents
Restart iPhoto and try again..
Make no other changes.
