Ipod 5G ios7.1.2 volume issue

Hi everyone

So I've had my new ipod for a while and I just noticed a problem with the volume. If I press play on a song or podcast the volume is at a certain level. However, if I scroll through the song or skip through a podcast 15 seconds the volume get noticeably louder (no change on the volume bar). Then if I hit pause and play again it goes back to the original, quieter, volume.

Anyone know the issue here? Will this be solved if I update my ios?
