Simple question. Why is the thumbnail of page 1 in a document bigger than the rest of the thumbnails? Thanks.

It is not just page 1 it is all first pages of each section.

Ah, ok, my documents have all been fairly simple one section documents so far. Why bigger though? What’s the point exactly?
Sections stick together, if you click on a page you'll see the whole section outlined in yellow.
The large page tells you where the section starts.
Not good design IMHO (it obviously isn't obvious), but then Pages 5 gets an overall F from me anyways.
Peter
Seems a bit unnecessary to me but I suppose it helps to locate the start of a section as you scroll through the document.
I think deleting pages should be simpler too. It would be good if you could select the page thumbnail (or several thumbnails), select edit and delete the page(s) or maybe select thumbnail(s), right click and have a delete option right there.
You can select thumbnails and delete if you want, but in a Word Processing document it goes by Sections.
Peter
That’s what I think could be made simpler. Selecting a thumbnail and deleting removes a whole section and not just a page doesn’t it? It would be easier if you could remove single pages by just selecting the thumbnails and deleting.
Except the text flows to the next page in a section. A great way to mess up a document by ripping pages out willy nilly.
Insert a Section Break if you want the section to end somewhere.
Otherwise delete the actual content in the page you want to get rid of.

Thanks Peter.
