Photos are gone, but still take storage space

Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help me with this.


I want to erase all my photos and videos because I'm moving from an iPhone 4s 16gb to an iPhone 5c 8gb. I need lots of space to do this, space taken by photos and videos I do not need anymore.


I was trying to erase them all, and it seemed like I had achieved the goal. However, even thought my photo streams are all empty (everything in Photo App is empty), my settings>general>usage>storage manage still shoes 8gb of photos and videos in my phone. iTunes says there are exactly 2.029 of them!


Any ideas on how to delete them all??

For your case, I would use Image Capture view the link below to assist you with the process:

Image Capture: Transfer images and other items from your device

FYI: To have the DELETE button in image capture app u MUST turn off "image Capture (beta)" feature on your iDevice iCloud settings!
