Apple Mail problem - re Junk Mailbox.

Hi - hope some one can help me with this small problem.

I have a Gmail a/c set up as my mail account. It works fine. I have never had any problems with this.

My "JUNK" mail folder - is doing something strange!

Its displaying some emails from 2012 / 2013 / 2014.

I delete these emails. The nexttime I open up my Apple email, the deleted emails reappear in the junk folder.

I thought this may be a Gmail issue. I opened my actual gmail a/c, and looked under "filters".

There was nothing obvious there.

Does anybody have any idea how to stop these emails reappearing ? Is it a filter issue?

If you look in the Gmail Junk folder in your browser do you see these emails? If no, then select the folder in Mail and under Mailbox in the Menu bar select the last option: Rebuild.

Make sure to empty the Trash after emptying Junk.

And the info on REBUILD.

I've resolved my problem of the same emails reappearing in the JUNK mailbox.

I went to my Gmail a/c.

The "spam' folder and deleted all emails. These emails were the ones showing in my Apple Junk mail folder.
