My Yahoo mail page is missing content and is non-responsive. I'm using Safari version 5.0.6

My Yahoo mail page is missing content (icons to delete, reply, move, etc) and is non-responsive to reading the e-mails.

Is tis a Yahoo or browser issue and how can I fix it? My browser is Safari version 5.0.6.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

It appears Yahoo Mail server is down or at least having problems, from a quick search of user reports on Twitter and other sites that track such things:
