Apple TV can't connect through ethernet

Hello,

Recently, I updated the software on my Apple TV to 7.0.3 (6917). My Apple TV is model A1427.

After I did this, I have been unable to connect to the internet through Ethernet. I prefer this way over WIFI because it's faster and I don't lose the signal. When I do get it to at least recognize Ethernet, I have to go into WIFI and tell it to forget my WIFI network, even though the Apple TV has the etnernet cord plugged in --- it doesn't seem to recognize the DNS or Router, it just says N/A.

Do I need to make some kind of adjustments to my router / modem?

Any help you can offer would be much appreciated. Thank you.
