IPhone 6 Plus name changed by iTunes

I was performing a backup of my iPhone to Mac via iTunes and iTunes crashed. I disconnected iPhone and tried again. I noticed the iPhone's name changed to iPhone only. My personalized name was gone and had to rename back. Has anyone seen this happen?
