Do you mean a shortcut on your desktop that you can double-click to start iTunes? If so:

  • right-click on your desktop, select New > Shortcut
  • in the dialog that Windows will then open, click on Browse ... and navigate to the location of your installed iTunes application - this will vary by both edition of Windows and the version of iTunes you have running, as follows:
    • 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 / all releases of iTunes - C:\Program Files\iTunes
    • 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, 7 or 8 / all releases of iTunes up to and including 12.0, or the "for older video cards" version of 12.1 - C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    • 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, 7 or 8 / standard 64-bit version of iTunes 12.1 - C:\Program Files\iTunes
  • select the iTunes.exe file in the folder you've just navigated to
  • click OK, then Next, and then enter the name you want for the shortcut (it will default to "iTunes.exe") and click Finish.
