Lost all my Notes via iCloud

I lost all my notes that I had written on my iPhone5c. I think I accidentally deleted them from my Mail account on my computer (OS X Yosemite 10.10.2) via iCloud. I don't have Time Machine or iTunes linking my phone to my computer. But on my phone, I do have Backup turned on. Is there a way to retrieve old versions of Notes via iCloud or iPhone Backup? It was not clear that I would be deleting the notes from my phone when I was trying to clean up my Mail account. Thank you for any help you might provide!
