I lost files in the middle of recording. How Do I Get Those Files Back?

I use Logic Pro X to record live and play tracks live. Recently I was recording live and then had to play a track. I switched sessions from recording to the track without stopping the recording. Once the track was finished playing, I went to check out the recording but instead found out that all my files were gone. What happened and is there a way to get the files back? It was an awesome recording.
