I have an old photo iPod with a lot of pictures I want to transfer to iPhoto on a new mac. How would I do that?
Rather depends on the model of iPod and the OS on it.
Remember that photos on an iPod will often be resized for the screen on the device.
so there must be a better way to transfer the photos from an old mac to a new one
Lots of them. For instance: Ethernet, Air Drop, Firewire Target Disk Mode, any kind of wireless networking you want to explore, dropbox etc etc etc
