When I try to name a partition after going through the steps to install windows 8.1, I see no Bootcamp partition option.
None of the offered partitions will work, according to the notice when each is hi-lited.

Are you not shown the BC partition that was created, or, are you unable to rename the existing BC volume to a string of your choice? If you are referring to choosing a partition to install windows, are your referring to this screen?
