Is it possible to add a shortcut to letters?

Can I add A shortcut to my make with OS X yosemite to have when i press the right command key it types the letter I and When I press the left option button it types the letter K.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

I think it's not possible, though just wonder why you need such shortcuts.
