Ipad doesn't turn on, IOS software doesn't restore properly

Hi,

I have an Ipad 2 and suddenly stopped working properly. It doesn't turn on past the apple logo. When i plug it in and press the home and top button I am given the option to restore. Sometimes i'm able to restore and update software and other items it hangs and fails. The times i was able to restore and update software (update is mandatory), after about an hour the ipad turns off and doesn't turn on again.

What do i do????Is it dead???? if not how do i fix it?

Theres one other way to try

plug into computer

hold down power and home button 10 seconds

let go of power keep holding home

screen should stay black but iTunes should come up with device in recovery mode message (if screen has iTunes and is not black try again

attempt restore and cross your fingers

Hey,

Thanks for the advice. I've tried that. Sometimes i am able to restore and some it fails. Even after it successfully restores, after an hour it turns off and i have the exact same issue. I've done this at least 5 times already and not helps.

Well if it keeps doing that after a successful restore its probably just a hardware issue.

You could take it into an apple store if its under warranty they will replace it if not it will cost 249$:

You may be off getting a new one / refurb which would come with a new 1 year warranty and you could get applecare or other extended warranty on it:

Hi

Have you tried re-setting to factory level

In other words setting everything back to original condition

I am assuming of course that you can get to the Settings ---- General ---- Reset

Doing this will erase everything so try and back up before you re set
