Syncing mail accounts from Mac to iOS

I just did a reset of my iPad and was wanting to start over with a fresh sync from my Macbook. It seems Mac accounts no longer are syncable -- no options in iTunes, and a web search implies syncserver was removed and this no longer is possible.

This was a great part of the Mac/iOS experience -- I have over 15 active mail accounts I monitor and the thought of having to look up and typing in all the settings seems very un-Apple like.

Is it possible to get my dozen+ accounts from my Macbook in to my iPad some other way?
