16gb or 8gb RAM for gameplay record?

Hey everyone,

I want to do gameplay video for my youtube channel,

but I have only 4gb of ram in my mid 2012 macbook pro

should I go with 16gb or 8gb is enough?

the game is cities skylines, it's minimum is 4gb but recommended is 6gb,

my mac is i7 quad core 2.3-3.3ghz,

nvidia 650m 512mb ddr5

500gb hdd

and what brand should I choose?

in my area, most is selling kingston, I heard you should buy corsair mac memory but does it cost much more to the regular kingston branded ram?

and does brand really matter?

if I go with 16, I should choose 1.35v over 1.5v right?
