"Memory module" will not click into place

My Late 2008 iMac came with one 1GB memory module, on the right side. This one was easy to replace following the directions. With the slot on the the left, that had been empty, the memory module will not click into place. What may be the problem? I purchased a kit from OWC of two 2 GB. The computer boots up fine with just the one 2GB and is faster already, but I would like to get the other one in too...

Make sure the orientation is correct and make sure the black plastic pull tab isn't interfering. Other than that they can be tight and sometimes take more force that you're comfortable with.
