in my music app, i have a 318 songs. They are not downloaded, they all have a cloud icon next to them. I want to delete them, but i can't seem to figure out how to delete them. They do not show up in iTunes, iCloud, or my Verizon account. Any advice????

You cannot delete purchases. You can hide them or you can turn off the option to "Show Music in the Cloud".
To hide them:
iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support
To turn off the option to show them:
Settings>Music>turn off "Show All Music"

This worked, in that I no longer see that music, but any ideas on how I actually delete them?
Again, you cannot delete purchases. You can only hide them as indicated in the first link provided.
