imovie 11 does not share

I have the latest version of imovie and yosemite. I recently finished a project and tried to share to file, nothing happens! Tried to share to theater, nothing happens! There is no error msg or other indication anything is happening. I have had good success with this for a while after many painful hours and database destruction repair when updating to the yosemite version and now nothing! I tried downloading and re-installing Imovie but that created more issues with the timeline graphics although the re-installed version is still claiming to be 9.0.9. I have a lot of time wrapped up in this and I am getting frustrated!
