Help getting music from old Nano

Hi there

I have a 4th gen Nano. Current PC is authorised (but haven't used this old Nano on it to do anything before. I'm trying to revive the Nano for my kid).

Nano is showing on 'my computer' but no music file is showing.

I cannot get the music FROM the nano onto the PC. PC has very limited library from iPhone. Nano has a billion songs!

Am I trying to do something that can't be done?
