problem with finder after installing lacie drive

I installed lacie d2 Quadra to replace old external drives. I now have a problem with finder not responding or very slow and not shutting down properly. Can anyone give me advise

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Does Finder act normally if you disconnect the LaCie from the computer?

Yes it seems to be ok. Ive deleted all software that came with the drive
