Songs not syncing to Iphone 6 but appear on device when connected to computer.

I am trying to manually sync from Itunes to my Iphone 6. I drag the songs to the phone and it appears to sync. While the phone is connected to my computer and I view the songs on the device in Itunes it lists all the songs that have been synced to the phone. However when I try to find the songs on the phone itself the are not there. Only Itunes purchased songs are on the phone in the cloud.
