Apple TV restarts during video play

My Apple TV has started to exhibit a behavior where the unit restarts itself in the middle of playing video. This happens more often when not streaming from iTunes. It has done this with both Netflix and PBS. With PBS, we get to the same spot in the same video (a Rick Steve's 26 min short video) and it fails there every time. When is "fails" the light on the front of the Apple TV starts blinking and it after recovering it comes back to the main menu. This just recently happened, and I'm wondering if I have some sort of hardware fault that's getting worse.
