Is the latest version of Pages available without purchasing though the APP Store? There were no updates available.

Msg when trying to open Pages documents:
"You need a newer version of Pages to open this document."
"You can download the latest version of Pages from the Mac App Store."

No Pages v5 updates are available anywhere but through the OS X App Store. If you are using a version of Pages earlier than Pages v5, you will be pestered by Apple with those messages to use a newer version of Pages that you cannot update to without shelling out $20.
The original Trojan horse still represents a better deal than paying for Pages v5, or with a new hardware purchase, receiving it for free.
