Connecting Laptop and Macpro to two monitors

How can i connect mac pro and laptop to two monitors? not sure if this is even possible.

my current configuration in a dell U2711 hooked up to macpro via dvi and second monitor hooked up to macpro via dvi to minidisplay port adapter.

i would like to be able to easily connect a laptop to this two screen set-up without having to disconnect dvi adapter for second monitor.

i just purchased the DVI USB display adapter and have all screens working but didn't know if there was a better way to do this?

I don't always use the laptop but when i do i need the two extra screens.
