How does someone without sight open attachments from Mail?

I have a student at my school who uses the Mail application to send and receive email. We use Office 365 as our email/collaboration platform. I've looked in the hotkeys and also tried to navigate using VoiceOver commands, but neither she nor I can find a way to open attachments that teachers send her.

Any ideas on ways to have someone without sight open attachments... without a sighted person's intervention?

Thanks,

AB
