Do I need to be concerned that my iPhone is searching for devices endlessly

It does it because you opened Settings > Bluetooth -- which you would do if you want to pair the phone with a new device. It is normal.

It is not doing it endlessly. It does it when you go to Settings/Bluetooth, presumably because it thinks you want to pair with a device, so it looks for devices to pair with.

There is no need to worry about that because when you turn on Bluetooth, iPhone is searching for other Bluetooth devices around him and that little loading circle will spin because it is searching for other devices while your bluetooth is turned on.

No need to be concerned, although it will shorten your battery charge.

No it won't. When it is searching it is only listening. Uses unmeasurably small amounts of power. Even when connected BlueTooth uses only 3 mw. Compare that to a phone call, that uses up to 500 mw. Or WiFi, that uses 30 mw.
