Photos exported from iPhoto using BorderFX are all black, why?

I recently downloaded the BorderFX plug in for iPhoto and was happy to be able to put watermarks on my work, but few of the images that I exported from iPhoto using the BorderFX plug in are coming out all black. I tried exporting using the regular File Export tab (instead of the BorderFX plug in), and the images come out fine, so I believe this is a problem with the BorderFX plug in.

Any body has suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thank you!

iPhoto '11, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Have you tried to change the BorderFX Preferences > Advanced?

Sometimes it helps to disable "Hardware Rendering"

Thank you very much Léonie. I tried your suggestion but same results, the exported photos still come out all black.

Any other ideas as to how to solve this issue?

I do have the latest version of BorderFX plug in.

I am not sure if this has to do with the problem, but all the images that I am having this problem with, happened to be black and white.

I will try the BorderFX Support, thanks again.

If your photos are not RGB-photos, that may very well be the problem. Are your photos scans? You may need to convert the format to RGB.

Hey léonie thank you so much for the help, I changed the images to RGB and it worked just fine. And yes, most of them were scans.
