MacBook pro mid 2010 crashes

took it for the first time to the Apple Genius Bar. They told me that was the hdd so i changed it. Now it mounts an ssd. Still crashes were present.

second time: yeah, could be the ram. Changed. 8 gb, as suggested.

now, still the crashes are here. Randomly, even with Ubuntu, even booting from usb. Often two, three times in a row, right after or even before the gong. The mac freezes and shuts down.

what can I do for next move? Is there a chance I can repair it or should I buy a new one?

Also, I noticed that in activity monitor the ram used is around two giga, but if I sum all the voices present its probably less than 1 giga.... Is that any useful?

I do not see anything in the report that would be an indicator for the kernel panic.

What happens if you install the original RAM?

Reset the SMC and the NVRAM:

did both. After a while, it appeared a green screen and rebooted, again.... ill try safe boot now

so far, every crash log is the same. Safe boot is working so far, I'll tell you if anything changes.

if safe boot works, what means? And what if it doesn't work?

Often that means that a third party application may be the problem. What you then have to do is delete all third party applications and reinstall them systematically until you can identify the 'problem child'. Dowload and post an Etrecheck report which might give a clue:

When I was At the Apple Store, I had nothing installed since they formatted the whole had and reinstalled the os, and the crash occurred while downloading Mathematica. Also, the fact that crashes under Ubuntu ( nothing but the system was installed ) still makes me doubtful....

also crashed while installing the os a couple of days ago.... is it possible that is a third party app?

i would proceed as follows: fresh reinstall os x. Then, if crashes, update firmware.

hardware was tested several times in the last few weeks, so is there anything else I can do? i tried playing for 30 minutes and it didn't reboot, so I think cpu works fine... And maybe also gpu.

ill go through every passage of those links in the next few days... the first crash was the day after I installed Yosemite....
