music sync problems with ipad after 8.1.3 update

So toady after many weeks of meaning to update my music on iPad, I got round to doing it. I could cry at this moment 😢 I had the same problems with my iPod a few weeks back, where I could get so far with putting music on and then iTunes would just wipe what I had just put on. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I ended up just giving up with my iPod. I lost over 200 songs, that iTunes decided to wipe off my device, and now I have just lost over 100 on my iPad. Help would be appreciated 😕
