why can't I upgrade to final cut pro 10.1?
I've just upgraded to OS X Yosemite, but it says I can't use my FCPX. How do I upgrade?
What are your computer specs?

iMac 27-inch mid 2010, 3.2 GHz intel Core i3, 12 GB of memory
Compressor and Motion upgraded just fine. IN the app store, under "purchases", it doesn't have FCPX there. I definitely bought it. I've been in film school for 3 years, I use it all the time.
If it's not in Purchases it was bought using a different Apple ID. If it wasn't you would need to contact the App Store.
hmm...ok, I'll try that.
There is also the slight possibility that it is "hidden".
In the App Store application, click Store->View My Account, and see if it is there in "Hidden Purchases".
