New Laptop and Apple ID

I just got a new MacBook Air and a new Apple ID. Now since my old itunes account is deleted I can't download all of my music from my phone to my laptop and when I trying syncing it says the phone either disconnected (which it hasn't) or it cannot be backed up because I do not have enough storage, but I have plenty! Please help!!
