Shortcuts not working in Safari

The thumb and 3 finger spread and the fn f11 shortcut to show the desktop on my Macbook do not work in Safari, they work in Firefox and all other apps. Thoughts?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
